Color Wheel Umbrellas! Kindergarten!

Last week, our kindergartners explored the color wheel and color mixing through this fun drawing project! We learned about how to use markers and how to mix colors using only a few colors. Look how awesome these turned out!

Until next time, keep creating!!

Picasso Hearts - 1st Grade!

Since Valentine's is right around the corner, what a great time to learn about Picasso and symmetry! This is our second Picasso Project this year in 1st grade! The students first painted a lovely design on pink or red paper and then learned how to cut a giant heart out of their paper while it was folded in half! Then they got to add even more decorations to make it really special! Check out the great hearts below:

This is our lovely hallway display right outside the art room!

Positive/Negative Snowflakes - 4th Grade!

In 4th grade, we learned about lines of symmetry and creating a negative part of a shape by cutting part of it out (the positive!). The line we created by gluing them side-by-side is the line of symmetry! How cool is that?!

The cutting was mighty tricky, but we got it!
